"Ecological literature has been an essential, even central, part of the environmental movement since 1962 when Rachael Carson rocked the world with her publication of Silent Spring and its message of ecological fragility. Modern writers such as Peter Matthiessen and Bill Plotkin continue this tradition, exploring the deep connection between nature and the human soul." Allan Combs, Co-author of Thomas Berry: Dreamer of the Earth.
