Guest Speakers: George Frizzell (Historian/Western Carolina Univ.), William Shelton (former Jackson County Commissioner), Jerry Wolfe (Cherokee elder).


A book launch & reading (Every Breath Sings Mountains: The Great Smoky Mountains?published by Voices From the American Land) by poets Barbara Duncan (award-winning author of Cherokee Heritage Trails Guidebook and Crossing Cowee Mountain), Brent Martin (author of A Shout in the Woods  and Poems From Snowhill Road) and Thomas Rain Crowe (award winning author of Zoro?s Field: My Life in the Appalachian Woods and Crack Light).


Artist: Robert Johnson (exhibit) ? (internationally acclaimed artist from the Celo Community in Yancey County, NC)


A Conversation with Authors: Charles Frazier (author of Cold Mountain, 13 Moons and Nightwoods), Wayne Caldwell (author of Cataloochee and Requiem By Fire), Keith Flynn (Founding Editor of the Asheville Poetry Review and author of Razzmatazz & Memory and The Lost Sea) , George Ellison (naturalist, columnist and author of Blue Ridge Nature Notes and Mountain Passages), and John Lane (founder of Holocene Books and author of Chattooga and Circling Home).
