Short Biography:
I am editor of North Carolina Nature Writing and author of A New South Hunt Club: An Illustrated History of the Hilton Head Agricultural Society, 1917-1967 (both John F. Blair Publishers, Inc.). I also wrote and essay for the South Carolina Review, "Hunting for God: James Kilgo's Nonfiction as Spiritual Autobiography." I am a historian by training, former assistant professor and vice president of Queens College at Charlotte, and currently head at Gaston Day School, Gastonia, North Carolina.
