Janisse Ray Reads for "High Tide at Wormsloe"

• Titles and Origins: "High Tide at Wormsloe" was a fund-raising event for Georgia's Ogeechee-Canoochee Riverkeeper. The event was held at Wormsloe Plantation, the oldest of Georgia's tidewater estates which has remained in the hands of the same family since 1736. Wormsloe figures in the life of letters in Georgia, as many generations of the family accumulated manuscripts relating to Georgia history, natural and cultural. In 1765, John and William Bartram described Wormsloe Plantation in detail on a trip to the southeastern coast.
